SILICA GEL
In this type all the particles of Silica Gel are impregnated with an indicator. When free from moisture the particles are blue silica gel or orange silica gel. As they are put to use, the particles take up moisture, Silica Gel gradually turns pink or green and gives a ready indication that it has done. Its work and requires replacement or regeneration. The above product is free from foreign impurities such as Chlorides, Sulphates and other organic matter and has high absorption efficiency.
Indicating Silica Gel is a simple yet effective way to ensure that moisture levels remain at a minimum. Not only does indicating Silica Gel absorb surrounding moisture, it also changes colors as it does so. The more moisture the Silica Gel absorbs, the less effective it eventually becomes. Once it reaches its saturation point, indicating Silica Gel will turn to a specific color, signaling it should be replaced As the beads takes up moisture, they turns to light blue gradually & When they turn pink, it indicates that the gel need to be replaced or regenerated. In fact, it is mainly used as indicator for the extent of dehumidification and moisture absorption in sealed vessel.
